STORY LINES LEADING INTO INDIANAPOLIS:

~ A Busy Schedule for Terry Cook: NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver Terry Cook will certainly be busy this week leading up to the Power Stroke Diesel 200 presented by International and Ford. Cook began his week with Indianapolis-area radio interviews, will sign autographs for the employees at the International Truck and Engine Corporation’s Indianapolis Engine Plant and attend the Power Stroke Diesel 200 Banquet the night before the big race

~ Home Sponsor Makes IRP More Than A Race: The Power Stroke Diesel 200 presented by International and Ford is more than a race, it is a week-long, power-packed event called the Power Fest National Rally. Nearly 400 Ford Power Stroke Diesel trucks will park in the truck corral as their owners have a week filled with exciting events and contests and great food

~ Dennis Connor, A Leader of the Pack: Connor is crew chief with the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team and leads all crew chiefs in wins with 26. Connor joined ppc Racing in December 2005 to lead its truck program, which currently sits ninth in the NCTS driver points standings

~ Cook Teaches Rookie Class: Each week the NCTS holds a rookie drivers meeting prior to the first practice session. Cook, a veteran driver, leads the class and teaches the rookies everything from the racing line to avoiding trouble in the corners. There are 12 Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year contender entered in Friday night’s race

~ Over The Wall Not Just for Men: Nicole Addison (rear tire changer) is the only female over-the-wall crew member in NASCAR’s top-three series. This is her second full-time year in the NCTS and first with the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team

~ Open-Wheel Spotter Now in NASCAR: Tony Hirschman III is spotter for the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team. Hirschman spotted in the IRL from 1999-2003 with drivers Sarah Fisher and Stephan Gregoire. The Northampton, Pa. native started as a spotter for his father, Tony Sr. in 1996 in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series and has spotted in NASCAR’s Busch and Craftsman Truck Series the last three seasons
