STORY LINES LEADING INTO MEMPHIS:
~ Cook To Break Consecutive Streak: Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International driver Terry Cook looks to break the most-consecutive starts streak set by Rick Crawford at 210 Saturday night at Memphis Motorsports Park. Cook will make his 211th-consecutive start and 230th of his 10-year career racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS). Cook has six-career wins, 25 top-five and 84 top-10 finishes since 1996 and is listed seventh on the all-time money list with more than $3 million in earnings
~ Crew Chief A Leader in Wins: Dennis Connor is crew chief with the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team. Connor leads all crew chiefs in wins with 26 after the team’s win two weeks ago at Kansas Speedway. Connor joined ppc Racing in December 2005 to lead its truck program, which currently sits eighth and ninth in NCTS driver and owner points standings, respectively
~ Cook Teaches Rookie Class: Each week the NCTS holds a rookie drivers meeting prior to the first practice session. Veteran driver, Terry Cook leads the class and teaches the rookies everything from the racing line to avoiding trouble in the corners
~ Over The Wall Not Just for Men: Nicole Addison (rear tire changer) is the only female over-the-wall crew member in NASCAR’s top-three series. This is her second full-time year in the NCTS
~ Open-Wheel Spotter Now in NASCAR: Tony Hirschman III is spotter for the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team. Hirschman spotted in the IRL from 1999-2003 with drivers Sarah Fisher and Stephan Gregoire. The Northampton, Pa. native started as a spotter for his father, Tony Sr. in 1996 in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series and has spotted in NASCAR’s Busch and Craftsman Truck Series the last three seasons

COOK ON HIS 2002 RUNNER-UP FINISH:
"We had an extremely fast race truck that weekend; we qualified eighth. I remember running up near the front almost the entire race. Late in the race we got beat out of the pits by Travis Kvapil and ultimately ended up running second and just didn’t have enough to get by him. I could’ve laid a bumper to him and definitely moved him out of the way to win the race but I don’t race like that and I think he respected me for the fact that I didn’t. It was one of those days that the fastest truck definitely didn’t win the race and at the same time while I was trying to pass Travis, I had Ted Musgrave trying to get by me. All in all it was a good day for the Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team.”
