STORY LINES LEADING INTO MILWAUKEE:
~         The Milwaukee Mile A Career-First for Terry Cook: Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International driver Terry Cook made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) debut right here at The Milwaukee Mile (TMM) in 1996.  Cook has since made 225 starts, 208 consecutive since 1998.  Many consider Cook a veteran of the series, who has five-career wins, one of which came at TMM in 2002
~         Cook Teaches Rookie Class: Each week the NCTS holds a rookie drivers meeting prior to the first practice session.  Veteran driver, Terry Cook leads the class and teaches the rookies everything from the racing line to avoiding trouble in the corners
~         Better in A Ford: Since switching to a Ford in 2001, Cook has never finished outside the top 10 at TMM.  His average finish over the last five races at TMM is 5.8
~         Over The Wall Not Just for Men: Nicole Addison (rear tire changer) is the only female over-the-wall crew member in NASCAR’s top-three series.  This is her third year in the NCTS
~         Open-Wheel Spotter Now in NASCAR: Tony Hirschman III is spotter for the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team.  Hirschman spotted in the IRL from 1999-2003 with drivers Sarah Fisher and Stephan Gregoire.  The Northampton, Pa. native started as a spotter for his father, Tony Sr. in 1996 in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series and has spotted in NASCAR’s Busch and Craftsman Truck Series the last three seasons
~         Local Angle: Phil Ludwig (Chilton, Wis.) is a fabricator with the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team

COOK ON RACING AT THE MILWAUKEE MILE:
“The Milwaukee Mile has its own identity.  It has a lot of the same characteristics as Indianapolis Raceway Park and New Hampshire International Speedway but they all do drive differently.  The middle of the corner at IRP is kinda like the middle of the corner at Milwaukee; it’s slow and you have to be patient getting back in the throttle.  You use a lot of brakes like at Milwaukee like you would need to get around New Hamphsire so IRP and New Hampshire would probably be the two closest tracks to Milwaukee we run on.”
