THESE ARE BETTER DAYS!
~ The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team and driver Terry Cook are relishing in their best season in three years with ppc Racing. Three top-10 finishes in the first six races have positioned Cook and the team to fifth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver and owner points standings
~ The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team tested Truck No. 10-01 at Ace Speedway in Elon, N.C. last Monday to prepare for this weekends race
~ Nicole Addison (rear tire changer) is the only female over-the-wall crew member in NASCARs top-three divisions. This is her third year in the NCTS
~ Local Angles: Terry Cook (driver) is from Sylvania, Ohio, Tim Whitaker (front tire changer) is from Hamilton, Ohio and Jeff Fleenor (catch can) is from Cleveland
COOK AT MANSFIELD MOTORSPORTS SPEEDWAY:
DATE START FINISH STATUS EARNINGS

COOK ON HOW PACKED MANSFIELD GETS:
Mansfield is a pretty neat track in itself because I think their average weekly crowd Im just guessing their grandstands actually only seats probably about 4,500 people. For them to bring in extra seating capacity and then sell it out at around 22,500 people and I think they sell about 25,000 tickets so you can see just by those numbers in itself that theyre selling standing room only seats so its a pretty neat deal that you can take a little itty bitty track like that. To be able to take 25,000-plus people and put them around that place when the track was really not built for that, that in itself is pretty neat so they have a sea of people you might say that goes all the way around the racetrack.
TRUCK OWNER, GREG POLLEX ON THE TEAMS PERFORMANCES THIS YEAR:
"We're really happy with where we're at right now. Building this truck program has been a real endeavor for me with (NASCAR) Busch (Series) racing all those years. The first couple of years we struggled. We didn't have enough pieces for Terry to drive. (Crew Chief,) Dennis Connor has really put together a great stable of trucks for us. We're really happy and Terry's efforts have been exemplary. We're looking forward to a great remainder of the season."
