Cook on Competing at PIR . . .
Phoenix is a slippery surface and hard to hook up; you slide in the corners. The team that slides the truck the least will likely win the race. Phoenix is a lot like Nazareth Speedway in that you have to compromise between the turns and chase the balance of the truck. You might be better in one turn but you never really can get a handle on the other. Finding the balance of the truck will certainly make for a good day on the racetrack.
Crew Chief, Rick Gay on Competing at PIR . . .
Were bringing the truck we ran at Richmond, where we were running fourth with less than 10 laps to go and then got spun out. This truck is great on the flat tracks. We hope to finally show everyone the Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team is a force to be reckoned with and Terrys had great success at Phoenix so we should have a good run. We hope to narrow the (points) gap to the top 10. That is our goal, to finish in the top 10.
