2004 Race Summary . . .
The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race team suffered its third did not finish (DNF) of the season at NHIS.  Rain had postponed the race to late that afternoon and after 43 laps, an electrical problem prevented the team from a potential win.  The race finished in the dark, literally with 11 of the 36 teams failing to finish the grueling race.

Michael Sapp, COO at PAWS on the $2,800 donation from the NCTDA . . .
“Paws With A Cause is extremely grateful to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Drivers Association and its members for their support.  Their donation has completed the funding of the first PAWS Assistance Dog through the ‘Racing for Independence’ program.  This is the second year the NCTDA has joined the NASCAR fan base in supporting PAWS.  We look forward to a continued relationship as we strive to fund additional Assistance Dogs through the ‘Racing for Independence’ program.”

Terry Cook on racing at New Hampshire International Speedway . . .
“Knowing you’re going to a racetrack like New Hampshire that you’ve won in the past that does give you confidence going there.  I always enjoy going to New Hampshire; the track and the race.  Since they’ve changed the configuration of the track as far as opening up another groove on the bottom, the track has really gotten ‘racey.’  Now if you have a good race truck you can drive right around everybody and not touch them and stay out front all day long.  That’s what I like about racing at New Hampshire now compared to the years past.”
