Terry Cook, Power Stroke Diesel by International Race Team Conclude Testing

(CONCORD, N.C.) – Terry Cook and the No. 10 Power Stroke Diesel by International race team tested Tuesday at Lowe’s Motor Speedway preparing for next month’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) event at the 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway.  Inclement weather limited the needed time on the race track necessary to collect accurate data for the up-coming race.  Crew Chief, Rick Gay about Tuesday’s test:

“We tried to get going as quick as we could,” said Gay.  “We were a little more aggressive with our changes to the Power Stroke Diesel by International Ford to compensate for the limited time we knew we might have all day with the way the weather was looking like when we arrived at the track.  Being aggressive is not a bad thing because we’ve got a really good team here with Terry Cook Power Stroke Diesel by International.  We got this program going in the right direction and we want to keep it going in the right direction all season long.”

Cook lapped the speedway with consistent lap times averaging 177.250 mph.  Twenty-five truck teams were present for the six-hour open test session with the top-five speeds (unofficial, source, LMS) as follow:

1. Jimmy Spencer, 178.879, 2. Jack Sprague, 178.554, 3. David Starr, 178.118, 4. Bill Lester, 177.521 and 5. Bobby Labonte, 176.678

Cook and the Power Stroke Diesel by International race team head to Gateway International Raceway for this weekend’s Ram Tough 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race.  Catch all the action live on SPEED Channel beginning at 8 p.m. EDT.
