Terry Cook, Power Stroke Diesel by International Race Team Test For Gateway International Raceway

(MOORESVILLE, N.C.) – Terry Cook and the No. 10 Power Stroke Diesel by International race team tested Monday at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C. preparing for this weekend’s Ram Tough 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) event at Gateway International Raceway.  Cook will make his 195th-career NCTS start and eighth at the 1.25-mile speedway and talked about Monday’s test:

“Again another good test for the Power Stroke Diesel by International race team,” said Cook.  “The test gave us the chance to evaluate whether we improved our truck program and based on what we saw, we definitely have improved.  We didn’t take the same truck we ran at Martinsville but rather a duplicate of that truck we finished 10th.  We made some modifications to this truck to prepare for Gateway this weekend.  Anytime you can go and improve your program whether it is small or large, you’re making steps forward and in the right direction.  By testing, we now go to Gateway with even more confidence and momentum off two consecutive top-10 finishes this year.”

Cook and the team tested earlier this month at Ace Speedway in Elon, N.C. preparing for the most recent NCTS race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, where Cook finished 10th.  Yesterday, Cook and the Power Stroke Diesel by International race team tested at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in preparation for the May 20th race under the lights.  It will be the second NCTS race at the 1.5-mile speedway, where Cook started and finished in the top 15.  An update from this test will come shortly.
