Terry Cook, Power Stroke Diesel by International Race Team Test For Martinsville
(MOORESVILLE, N.C.) Terry Cook and the No. 10 Power Stroke Diesel by International race team tested Tuesday at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C. preparing for this weekends Kroger 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) event. Cook will make his 194th-career NCTS start and ninth at Martinsville Speedway and talked about Tuesdays test:
The test went extremely well, said Cook. There were several truck and cup teams there testing throughout the day. We were able to evaluate our braking system and suspension setup that you typically would not have an extended amount of time for during a race weekend so the test was a huge success for the Power Stroke Diesel by International race team. The truck drove extremely well and I cant wait to get to Martinsville.
Cook and the team tested last year at Ace Speedway in Elon, N.C. preparing for last years NCTS spring event at Martinsville Speedway but chose to test at Caraway Speedway instead. Cook said he sees a resemblance between Caraway and Martinsville:
I can see there are a lot of similarities to Martinsville after spending a full day at Caraway, said Cook. We tested a lot last year at Greenville-Pickens (N.C. Speedway), a track that has a lot of similarities to Martinsville too. I think Caraway being closer to the Power Stroke Diesel by International race shop offered a lot of the same characteristics and provided a great place to test. When there are six-to-seven other truck teams and two Nextel Cup teams testing there with you, it tells you this track is a good place to go and test.
