Terry Cook Mixes With Motorsports Media at 2005 Media Tour
(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) Terry Cook spent his Monday evening at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) Dinner as part of the 22nd annual Lowes Motor Speedway Media Tour. More than 150 media representatives across the United States were in attendance with one-on-one interviews available after the dinner.
During the dinner, hosted by the on-air talent from SPEED TV, the media wrote down questions they wished to ask the drivers in attendance. One stipulation however. The question had to be off the wall and fun for everyone to hear the drivers responses.
Cook was the second driver up with David Poole, motorsports writer for the Charlotte Observer asking . . .
We know what women want on Valentines Day, chocolates, flowers. What would a man want?
With the microphone in hand, Cook confidently replied, Any Craftsman Tool, of course!
With a resounding laughter coming from the media, Toure Claiborne, director of brand marketing for Craftsman raced to the podium and said . . .
We have a new champion Terry Cook!
After the dinner, Cook met up with Poole and talked about his 2005 expectations in the NCTS. A quick pose for the camera and quickly Cook was being asked questions from Mark Ashenfelter at NASCAR Scene.
By the end of the night, Cook had two television interviews with SPEED TV and WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, Va., a CBS affiliate, each talking about the up-coming racing season.
Next up for Cook is an appearance tomorrow on WBs WPIX-TV, Channel 11 in New York. Cook along with the Power Stroke Diesel by International show truck will be live on the set of the stations morning show to talk about this years limited edition Ford F-150 and racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. You can catch his live appearance between 7 9 a.m. EST.
