Terry Cook Moves Forward After Texas

(RONOAKE, Texas) – Terry Cook finished 32nd in the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International race truck after electrical problems sidelined the nine-year series veteran early on at Texas Motor Speedway.  Cook, who has four top-10 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series finishes at TMS, started from the rear of the field after the ppc Racing crew changed an engine after Friday’s qualifying.  Cook moved up through the field and ran equivalent lap times to the leaders through the 45th lap until pulling in the truck behind pit wall and out of the event.

“This makes two Texas races this year for the Power Stroke Diesel race team we had the potential for a top-10 finish,” said Cook.  “We were moving up through the field putting ourselves in position for another top-10 run but we didn’t have but 40 laps into the race and had an electrical problem under the hood.  Luck was not on our side today.  When the truck breaks, there’s nothing you can do about it.  We need to get our consistency back yet we’ve got to race for the wins.  Now with a handful of races to go in the season it’s about racing for the win and being competitive each and every week.”

Cook and the ppc Racing team head to Martinsville Speedway this Saturday for the Kroger 200, the series second visit to the .526-mile speedway.
