Terry Cook on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway . . .
Las Vegas is a very fast and smooth racetrack we compete on that offers a good amount of grip during the daytime but it loses grip during the night. The track gets slick late in the race so well have to setup the truck accordingly so that after we run 20 laps, were still as competitive as we were in the beginning.
Terry Cook on the strength of Robert Yates Engines . . .
Weve got an outstanding engine program with Robert Yates Engines. They do a great job each week to prepare great engines with a lot of horsepower. Weve done some chassis-dyno testing here not too long ago and they have really picked up our program here at ppc Racing. Were taking the same engine we ran at Michigan, where we ran in the top 10 all day and finished seventh. Its always good to have a good finish in front of the home crowd. Were looking forward to another good run only this time in Las Vegas.
Terry Cook on 2003 versus 04 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway . . .
Its a little bit different coming to a track with a new race team where youve finished good the year prior. Well have the International Trucks and Engines Ford colors this time out instead of the traditional Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International paint scheme. There are a lot of differences from last year to this year but with ppc Racing weve run extremely well on the mile-and-a-half tracks in 2004. Im looking forward to returning to Las Vegas.
