Terry Cook and International Truck and Engines Ford Team Finish 16th at Nashville Superspeedway

(LEBANON, Tenn.) - Terry Cook finished 16th in the No. 10 International Truck and Engines Ford at Nashville Superspeedway.  Starting 21st, Cook quickly moved into the top 20 but found a tight-handling race truck to be too much throughout the event.  Cook, who has two top-10 finishes at the 1.333-mile concrete speedway remains 15th in the driver points standings and talked about the Ford's aerodynamics package on speedway tracks.

"It was a very perplexing weekend," said Cook.  "It felt like at different points in the weekend, we maximized what the truck had and we were still light years off where the Toyotas, Dodges and Chevrolets are. I honestly believe the Ford aero package at these bigger, faster tracks is at a deficit.  We saw it at Michigan.  We could get up there and run with them but we just couldn't run consistently up there with them all day long.  It seems like from the midseason on, the aero package on the Fords is at a deficit and I think if this doesn't wake up NASCAR's eyes I don't know what is.  We were the highest finishing Ford and we finished 16th."

Cook took advantage of the first caution flag, coming to pit road for four tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment on lap 38.  The International Truck and Engines pit crew picked up spots on the track and returned Cook to the track in 19th place before the restart.

Cook showed promise when he cracked the top 15 on lap 60 and came down pit road again for the second and final pit stop on lap 84.  Another four-tire pit stop again saw Cook pick up spots on pit road to restart 16th.

Cook was as high as 12th with the No.10 International Truck and Engines Ford on lap 139, however, slipped back to finish 16th in the fourth NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Nashville Superspeedway.
