Qualifying Report - Lowe's Motor Speedway
No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International

Terry Cook qualified 33rd for today’s Infineon 200 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

The No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International team entered the Lowe’s Motor Speedway with continued momentum from last week’s event in Mansfield, Ohio.  Driver Terry Cook took 18 laps around the 1.5-mile quad-oval in first practice, posting the 31st fastest speed at 171.114 mph.  With about one hour left in practice, Cook lost control and hit the turn four wall, forcing ppc Racing to a backup truck.  The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International team rebounded quickly preparing the second truck in the last minutes of practice before qualifying began at 5:45 p.m. EDT.

Cook went out last in the qualifying order to post the 35th fastest time.  With the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series officially reverting to 2004 owner points for the first time this season, Cook will start in 33rd, one position better than last week at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway.

“We prepared a great backup truck and it drove extremely well.  We were chasing the setup back and forth.  We freed it up a ton, went into the corner and hit the bump in turn three.  I got up off the throttle a little bit and the truck just came around.  There’s a lot of dust up in the second groove.  I had it saved but it kept going up to the safer barrier.  We started 34th last week and finished third so I’m not too concerned about where we’re starting; we’ve got a good crew.  The Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International crew will rally around and get back to where we need to be.”

Cook and the rest of the No. 10 Ford Power Stroke Diesel by International crew will prepare for today’s event like any other – out to reach Victory Lane.
