TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -
"We just went down into the corner on the first lap in the first turn and either the No. 16 truck got sideways and to save it he had to drive straight down the track or his spotter told him he was clear," said Cook. "I don't know which and I'm not going say because I don't know. The bottom line is he drove basically right across the bow of my ship and turned himself sideways across the front tire and bent in our front fender, and from then on, we had to come in and beat the fender back out. You work hard to qualify and work hard for track position, and on the first lap you go from fifth back to 20th, and that's not a good thing."
"We continued to adjust on it all day long and there was no third groove like I thought originally when we tested," said Cook. "There was a first and second groove easily, but there was no third groove. The ideal spot was on the bottom groove and you could carry good momentum in the second groove. Basically, it was a good two-groove track all day long, and I can't fault that, but the track got slick out there."
"I didn't feel like I had to be cautious other than the last couple of restarts where people got double and triple wide and were beating and banging up in front of me," said Cook. "I never felt like it was an issue because there were some good drivers up there driving, so I didn't think it was going to be a big deal."
