TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -
"At this point our goal is to finish in the Top-10 in the 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points standings," said Cook. "We were able to still maintain our ninth-place points standings position after finishing 16th in the No. 29 Power Stroke® Diesel/Oil Mate Ford at Phoenix. We worked track position and ended up getting spun out only 35 laps into the 150-lap event. I was racing the No. 88 truck side by side for a while. Unfortunately, when Matt drove into the corner too deep, he slid up into us unintentionally and it spun us around. Ironically, we needed a caution to occur so we could bring the truck in to make necessary adjustments to correct a tight handling condition. We needed the caution, but the incident killed our track position sending us back to around 22nd-place for the restart. We were never able to make up lost ground and we were forced to settle for a 16th-place finish."
"We have one NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event left this season," said Cook. "We are really looking forward to heading to Homestead-Miami Speedway especially because it is the Ford Championship Weekend. There will be a lot of Ford dignitaries present while the three major NASCAR divisions crown their champions. The celebration kick-off will start before the first green flag even drops with a Ford Racing Fan Fest on November 13 at Las Olas Riverfront in Ft. Lauderdale (FL). I will be appearing along with other drivers like Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin, Kurt Busch and many more."
