TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -
"We fought a situation with track position and we didn't quite have the proper handle on the truck," said Cook. "We couldn't find the right balance where we needed to be. When you start that far back you know that you are going to have to fight for track position. We got caught a lap down early on being that far back in traffic. We made some adjustments to try to get the truck better, but we had some brake problems the whole race. We never had the brakes that we needed literally on the track and in the truck. The brakes had a good firm pedal, but they just didn't have any stopping power during the race. We kind of fought that and got ourselves behind the eight ball. Once the race starts, unfortunately there is nothing you can do to fix the brakes and the brake problem just put us behind. We will place this one in the record books and put it behind us as we move on to Phoenix where we qualified fourth and finished fifth last year in the No. 29 Power Stroke® Diesel/Oil Mate Ford."
"There were some guys out there being aggressive," said Cook. We were all lined up single file on a restart at one point and there were a couple guys that were over zealous and got into the back of each other. You've got eight trucks lined up bumper to bumper and you've got the guy sixth in line trying to beat the bumper off the guy fifth in line and it just creates havoc. Unfortunately, we were right there when it happened and got our truck beat up. Whether we had a nose on it or not we still had braking issues."
