TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -
"I don't know exactly what happened tonight and I have to see the replay, but we got turned sideways down in Turns 1 and 2 around Lap 3 while we were positioned in the Top-5," said Cook. "Matt Crafton was underneath me by just a foot or so, and I didn't have my radio working right so I had to rely on myself as spotter until the radio problem was corrected. I was fortunate enough to keep the No. 29 Power Stroke® Diesel by International off the wall. We were forced to pit the next time by for four fresh tires relegating us back to 34th in the running order on the lead lap. From that point, we were playing catch up trying to fight our way back to the front of the field. It was a situation where we were determined to salvage a good finish at Bristol tonight. By Lap 40 we had good track position and we were running thirteenth thinking we were going to soldier on to have a good finish."
"We were lapping the No. 33 truck and I'm not sure what happened, but he pushed me up the track coming off of Turn 4," continued Cook. "I'm not certain if we made contact or not. I don't think we came together, but when the Power Stroke® Diesel/Oil Mate Ford got pushed up the track, it got up there where there was no rubber and the truck got sucked into the wall. We came into the pits repeatedly trying to repair substantial damage. The right rear tire kept rubbing and the truck was hard to drive. We pitted several times for repairs and eventually went behind the wall a couple times. There was so much damage and suspension bent we didn't have time to fix it. We had to park it derailing our efforts for a top finish at Bristol Motor Speedway."
