TERRY COOK POST RACE QUOTES -
"After our final NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice the day before the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway, we felt like we had a handle on the No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel/Oil Mate Ford. We thought we were going to be really competitive. Unfortunately, we were not where we needed to be and we were chasing it all day long. We thought that we were going to be a lot better than that, and unfortunately we weren't."
"We were going to salvage a Top-10, and riding along there with about 35 laps to go the truck started vapor locking. The motor was just shutting off in the center of the corner. The fuel pressure dropped like two pounds and the motor was just stumbling and chugging and two more got by us and ruined our Top-10. We just rode it out and the truck even got tighter there the last couple of laps. We had a ruined day as it was and we were going to salvage a Top-10 and we couldn't even do that."
"Every adjustment we made on the No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel/Oil Mate, we kind of teeter-tottered over. We were tight then loose then tight then loose. We fought it all race long. We had good pit stops other than I messed up once. It was really hot out there and I was trying to get an ice pack in and there was too much going on and it cost us one pit stop. We just struggled all day on chassis."
"Last year we were a lot better at these tracks than we are this year. We've just got to put our finger on it. It's not just one thing, it's a combination of things. It's not motor, it's not crew chief, it's not crew it's just a combination of things that we've not figured out. We've got to get better. We are going to go home and sit down and try to learn how we can get better."
