INDIANAPOLIS, IN (October 8, 2002) - Terry Cook, driver of the No. 29 Power Stroke Diesel Ford NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series entry, has been selected to participate in a round table discussion at the Performance Racing Industry trade show December 4.

"It's a pretty big honor to be associated with the Performance Racing Industry which is the world's largest racing industry trade show with over 1,150 suppliers of race parts exhibiting," said Cook, a four-time NCTS winner this season. "To be selected out of all the people involved in motorsports for discussion from the driver's perspective is a privilege because this is a panel comprised of very prestigious people in the racing industry. I'm looking forward to being a part of the discussion."

"We wanted a driver who represents different points of view," said John Kilroy editor for the Performance Racing Industry Magazine. "Terry's in the perfect position because he can still talk about experiences of driving at a grass roots level. At the same time he has experience and success at the professional level in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series which is widely respected in racing. To have Terry on the panel, he can describe a viewpoint from kind of coming up the ranks and looking ahead to what he wants to achieve. Plus, he's a driver that people are aware of now. It's great to have him for round table because he's very articulate."

The PRI round table was started six years ago by legendary race engine builder Smokey Yunick. Yunick's idea was to have a comprehensive discussion of issues in motorsports today with a panel comprised of people from different segments of auto racing.

"If someone has a question about a topic, the different points of view in racing can be represented," said Kilroy. "Ultimately the goal is to communicate and throw out ideas for potential solutions for some of the challenges faced in racing. In addition to Terry, we will have on other representatives like Randy Dorton - engine builder for Hendrick Motorsports; Buddy Baker - stock car driver and sports commentator; Brian Barnhardt - Vice President of the Indy Racing League; Scott Atherton - President and COO of the Panoz Motor Sports which operates the American Le Mans Series; Jeff Hammond - race analyst for Fox; Joe Balash - technical director for the ASA Series; Earl Baltes - owner and promoter of Eldora Speedways; and Jeff Butcher - President of Longacre Racing Products. We will add more before the event."

The 15th-annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show at the Indiana Convention Center & RCA Dome is scheduled December 5-7, 2002.
